Completely redesigned last year, the 2021 Toyota Corolla returns this year with a new version and more reasons to fall in love with the popular compact. Known for its unwavering reliability and fuel economy, the 2021 Toyota Corolla is also the only car in its segment to offer a hybrid version.
With a base price of $19,150 for the standard Corolla and $24,990 for the Corolla Hybrid, the compact sedan has it all and will be able to meet a host of needs.
The 2021 Toyota Corolla offers two four-cylinder engines in addition to its hybrid engine. The first 1.8-litre four-cylinder develops 139 horsepower while the second develops 169 horsepower. On the Corolla Hybrid side, it is a 1.8-litre engine designed specifically for a hybrid application, coupled with two electric motors that propel the car. No matter what engine you choose, you'll be impressed by the fuel economy and efficiency of the new 2021 Corolla.
With average fuel consumption of fewer than 7.0 litres per 100 kilometres in the city depending on the engine and around 6.0 litres per 100 kilometres on the highway, the Corolla is economical as standard. That said, it offers fuel consumption of fewer than 5.0 litres per 100 kilometres in its hybrid version.
The 2021 Toyota Corolla is also one of the safest compact cars on the market with its Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 system. This system offers a host of driver assistance technologies including:
- Adaptive radar cruise control
- Collision prevention system with detection of pedestrians and cyclists
- Lane departure warning system
- Lane tracing assistance system
- Road sign assistance system
Like the exterior, the interior has also been redesigned for a more dynamic appearance. For 2021, the majority of models are equipped with an 8-inch screen and offer a host of other technology features, both standard and optional, such as Apple CarPlay, a Qi wireless charger for smartphones, the Safety Connect system and Scout GPS Link compatibility.
